How secure is digital door opening?

One of the common concerns the digitalization brings with is the question of security. To a large extent this concern is based on the fact that everything that happens digitally is not visible to the users, mostly laymen, and thus is difficult to understand. To convince you of the safety and possibilities of Sensorberg we would like to present you our various technical solutions, that give Sensorberg’s products high degree of security.

The first aspect of your security is identification and verification. To open a door you must always identify yourself either with a personal PIN or via biometric authentication (e.g. fingerprints sensor).  After the verification, the door will unlock and open automatically.  The keyless system is much safer than one with traditional keys or cards, as access privileges can be revoked immediately in the management platform in case of loss or theft.

So if you have ever lost a key, there was always a concern if someone would ‘abuse’ it. Locks had to be changed and new keys distributed. This process was time-consuming and expensive! With the digital solution from Sensorberg this all is no longer needed. On the one hand, there are no keys to be lost and on the other, access privileges can be given and revoked within minutes in the event of theft or loss in the management platform.

Another layer of security is data management.  The advantage of Sensorberg’s solution is an encrypted data transfer in our agnostic platform. The security of your data is tailored to your individual needs and YOU can decide, how and where to save your data,  online or offline.

Furthermore, our business users quite frequently are asking whether the employees’ motion profiles (when was which door used) do not violate the personal rights?  We have a clear answer to this question: No! Every user’s data is encrypted, and thus no device nor single door opening can be traced back to a person. Additionally, the door opening is saved with cards or chips so motion profiles can also be possible without data encryption.
